The government of South Sudan and the rebels have agreed to meet for peace talks in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Rebel leader and former Vice President of South Sudan Riek Machar says he has sent a delegation to Addis Ababa for the peace talks, according to BBC.
Machar also told BBC that his forces have captured the key town of Bor.
Machar also insists that he did not plot against President Salva Kiir.
On Monday, President Yoweri Museveni called on Machar to accept the ceasefire proposals or face military action.
“These men have rebelled. If you want power, don’t rebel so that you are rewarded with power,” President Kiir told BBC in an interview on Monday.
He has also refused to release the political allies of Machar who are alleged to have had a h hand in the coup plot.
