Gachagua Rigathi

Kenya’s Vice President, Rigathi Gachagua, has expressed confidence that with God’s help, he will overcome attempts to remove him from office.

This comes after the Kenyan Senate moved forward with plans to impeach him, following a recommendation from the lower house of parliament.

Gachagua is facing 11 charges, including allegations of corruption and making derogatory remarks about the government of his predecessor, President William Ruto.

Despite the impeachment efforts, Gachagua remains hopeful. He has taken his case to court 24 times in an effort to stop the parliament from dismissing him, but all applications have been dismissed.

However, he still believes in Kenya’s judicial system, stating that the courts have a history of fairness and reliability.

One key issue Gachagua wants the courts to address is whether a vice president, elected by millions of Kenyans, can be removed by a small group of members of parliament—fewer than 1,000 people.

Gachagua emphasized the importance of respecting the choice of the Kenyan people and hopes the courts will rule in his favor.

As the impeachment process continues, Gachagua’s supporters stand by him, confident that justice will prevail. Will he win the Impeachment?
